Handbook of Engineering Systems Design

OK, this is actually a bit of a big deal: The Handbook of Engineering Systems Design has been published! :-)

What started as a lunch conversation 5 years ago has now turned into a 2.5kg Springer Reference Work. It is THE standard text in Engineering Systems Design, thanks to over 60 authors from the field.

  • Check it out as a “book” with regular PDF downloads here: https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-3-030-81159-4

  • Check out the “Living Reference Work”, where authors can continuously update their chapters (but chapters appear in alphabetic order, not as a book): https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-3-030-46054-9

If you want to dive into the risk management fun, check out the chapter by Oehmen & Kwakkel on Risk, Uncertainty and Ignorance in Engineering Systems Design.
