Advanced Digital Design and Design Automation in the Construction Industry to Minimize Project Risks

The advanced integrated digital design and construction and design management is a two-year research project together with NCC Denmark and the Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE).

The overall objective is to create a holistic framework for implementing integrated digital design and design management processes in the early stages of design in order to maximize the customer value and minimize project cost risk. This is to be achieved through the development of the design processes, the establishment of the roles and functions of design managers, and the digitization of design and management activities, enabling among other things a much more aggressive exploration of solution spaces in early design phases.
